Back up for air

The older I get, the faster time seems to fly.  Every week I'm constantly surprised that the weekend has arrived.  And then before I know it, it's gone.  That definitely means that I have to prioritize my to do list and unfortunately that means blogging falls along the wayside for a while.

We moved and are still in the process of moving.  Boxes stored at various locations are brought to our new place piecemeal and we've had to be ruthless in purging the unnecessary things and simplifying our lives.  But it all takes time.  To the young one, it's an adventure and everything is interesting coming out of the box, it's difficult to be efficient as his definition of help is to transfer things from the Donation Bag to the dustbin or back into the box I'm unpacking.

But the dust is settling somewhat.  I'm finally able to see some of the native floor of the apartment.  There is some sort of order settling in.  And hopefully it means I can get back to doing some blogging.  If only there were more hours in a day.

Taking a little time off

Life throws screw balls and we've been over our heads with work and trying to organise our lives whilst keeping the tot occupied with the usual activities. We found a HUGE caterpillar today. That's an orchid leaf it's resting on. Phenomenal, isn't it?

I've recently seen Pinterest popping up on many of my favorite blogs.  When I went to find out what it was all about, I was psyched!  What a cool idea.  Unfortunately I needed an invite.  So I signed up thinking that I may never get an invite and I just got it!

It's terribly addictive but I love how I can bookmark stuff so easily and retrieve them from anywhere!  Fantastic!

Welcome to Our Bower

I'm part of a breed of women called Full Time Working Mothers. It is neither easier nor more difficult than being a stay at home mom. It's got it's own set of joys and problems.  Perhaps I may evolve at a later date but right now, that's what I am.

It is often said that one needs to have a balanced life to be happy.  But who has the time to do anything fun when there's a tonne of household chores to be done once you are home from work?  Unless you make homemaking a hobby.  Even if it is part time.
